Japanese musician Yoshiki has taken his place among some of the world's most legendary celebrities.

He's the first Japanese to have his hand and footprints immortalized outside an iconic Hollywood theater.

The imprint ceremony for the popular “X Japan” rock band member was held at the TCL Chinese Theatre.

“I wanted to prove that nothing's impossible. I wanted to prove that a person from Asia, a person from Japan who didn't speak English, could still pursue American dream.”

The musician enjoys worldwide acclaim as a composer and has performed many concerts in the U.S.

He wrote the theme music for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards.
